Telluride dream!!

I was camping out on a pretty stream near Taos ski valley. I slept in 3 sleeping bags and i was very toasty warm, hot even.  But making breakfast and doing anything outside of my bag was so dangg cold! So I did what any other cold woodsey would do; 'Ma I'm going to Telluride!'  It's like the the mecca of outdoor beauty fun! or at least one of them!  Well in the winter you gotta know the right people cuz it's cold there too and can be expensive, butttt if a bunch of your friends live there still, you get beauty heaven, adventures and a few nice warm houses to choose from!! So a 9 hour drive through 3 snow storms and I think I went the low route and only had to go over 2 mnt passes.   I stopped at a visitor center in New Mexico and the lady showed me the weather for my route and said it was blizzard conditions and avalanche warning and she told me to drive careful, hehe well actually right before I arrived at the visitor center I had just went through a blizzard and white out conditions.  But actually the drive was fine but just very slow at times because my car is a very small car who only loves mnts when you go 25 mph, so thats what we did, and the 5-6 hr drive then instead took 9.
But finally I came home to my sanctuary T-Ride and saw my lovely favorite mountain, Mt Wilson! And now here I am watching the snow fall across the box canyon! Lovely lovely day, I will finally ride on the Gondola again, the T-Ride public transportation and go boarding on opening day today!!!!!  It's nice to be back in a lovely place you once called home and knowing you can always come back.  But I am excited to explore another new place Taos, NM this winter.  But for the week I get to live the Telluride dream!

Starting New

New place, new state and finally starting up a new bog.  For a while I've been an itching to start up blogging again; reading my old posts from college was oh-so-nice and I have been a bit jealous of everyone in their blogging and knowing that I might be remotely interesting enough to start my own.  SO here we are Trinkets of Triina's Travels!

Just so one know what Wikepedia says of Trinkets:

trinket is a small showy ornament or something that is a mere trifle. Trinket may also refer to:
  • Trinket Island, an island of the Nicobar Islands
  • Trinket snake, common name for Elaphe helena, a species of colubrid snake
  • The original name of New Zealand rock band The Datsuns
  • A troll girl in the comic series Elfquest
  • A character in the American animated TV series Pepper Ann
  • The English localized name of Wei Xiaobao in John Minford's translation of Louis Cha's novel The Deer and the Cauldron
I think it's all appropriate!
       So here it starts.
